The full range of Bending Line Design Journals - There really is something for everyone

Total EQ Journal

The Total EQ Journal has it all! From general information, to contact details for you barn owner and equestrian care professionals to horse health and post ride reflections, it’s all there is one convenient place.

The different sections of the journal follow a logic sequence and bonus… it’s really pretty! I really love the ability to both enter and save information to the journal in digital form and then print it out too if you prefer hard copies.

The journals have been well thought out. Each section is on a different page so if you have something that doesn’t apply to you and your horse, for instance if you don’t have a chiropractor, you would simply leave this page blank and not print it out.

Another clever feature on the digital copy is that they text will automatically shrink to allow you to keep adding to the box if needed.

Tracking Health Information

Have you ever gone out to ride your horse only to find them afflicted by a mysterious swelling? Perhaps there is something tugging at your memory, did your horse have a similar swelling several months ago? But was it the off hind or the near hind?

I’ve certainly been in this situation before and started keeping notes on my phone, but these are so easily lost. The Total EQ Journal has provisions for tracking these types of things, once again proving that Kate the creative behind the brand, has thought of it all. You can also track your horses behavior’s and possible triggers, including your mares cycle, to your feeding routine, medication and vaccination.

Despite being an avid reflector, I never thought to do so after a show, so I really love that Kate has included a detailed page for reflecting on how a show went. And for the planners out there, the journal has a page dedicated to planning out your show schedule.

Notes on 50 Rides

After developing and using the Total EQ Journal for a period of time Kate realised that she wanted an easier way to continuously record multiple rides in a digital format. The Notes on 50 Rides offers just this – 50 pages each dedicated to a seperate ride reflection.

If you are new to journaling then the structure offered in the Notes on 50 Rides will prompt you to think about things which went well, areas where you can improve and things to discuss with your trainer.

If you are an experienced journal keeper but struggle to do so consistently with pen and paper then the ability to do so on your laptop will make it that bit easier.

Having your post ride reflections written down is also great to be able to look back on and see how far you’ve come.

The Notes of 50 Rides Journal is a super tool for helping you to reflective on your rides in a constructive way

Final Thoughts on the Bending Line Designs journals

In my opinion these journals represent excellent value for money. They are incredibly well priced at $41.92 (AUD) and $20.12 (AUD) for the Total EQ Journal and the Notes on 50 Rides respectively.

The journals are well laid out and incredibly easy to use, even if you are not overly tech savvy.
