‘A Touch of Class’ – Compeition Report

A Touch of Class Dressage and Show Horse Competition report

Last weekend Nonie and I packed up the float and trundled 35km down the highway to a Dressage and Hack show. Having a show on our doorstep is such a treat so although the lead up was not perfect I had to go, and we were rewarded with a great day.

It also happened to be relatively successful with us posting a PB score for medium of 66.6%!

A little know secret about this dressage diva is that so do occasionally enjoy entering the show horse ring. With the rider class events being run on the same day as the dressage I decided that I would enter those as well. I also made the decision to do these classes in a double bridle.

We’ve been using the double at home and Nonie has worked quite happily in it, however I am not yet confident enough with keeping all the reins organised to ride a dressage test in the double yet. The rider class workouts felt like a good opportunity to test the competition waters in the double.
